We’re streaming live from the Syracuse Student Symposium!

We have an excellent lineup of speakers and topics for the annual student workshop, and it’s all available live from Room 141, Newhouse 3, in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

The speakers this year: Michael Whitley of the Los Angeles Times, Adrian Norris of The Globe and Mail (Toronto), Andrea Zagata of The Buffalo News, Rob Schneider of The Dallas Morning News and Josh Crutchmer of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

1:50 p.m. Adrian Norris

DESIGNING WITH LOSERS: Three NFL seasons. Two mediocre teams. How repetition resulted in evolution for one young designer.

3:30 p.m. Rob Schneider and Josh Crutchmer

LOVE/HATE: Why we love design/why we hate design, and how the SND competition brings out both of those qualities in our hearts.

The symposium is sponsored by the Society for News Design Foundation and will also feature a student critique session.
